First let me say I am not a tea drinker and we've never owned a tea pot. We recently bought a new stainless steel cook top and my wife and I wanted a stylish tea kettle to go with it. This kettle looks AWESOME and it is built like a tank. The arc on the handle makes it easy to pour and keeps the handle away form the heat.
We made a few pots of hot water to test it out and it worked great. I know what you're saying "how hard is it to boil water". Now when my mom comes over she won't need to heat water in the micro!

I got this kettle for my wife as an early Christmas present. She absolutely loves using it, and it's much safer than boiling water in a pot and then pouring it into a mug. The whistle is plenty loud, and the construction is solid. The integrated spout cover lift button in the handle is easy and intuitive to use.

I must have read an hour's worth of reviews for tea kettles before I set my eyes on this one. It had no reviews. I purchased it anyways, because it looked so elegant in a streamlined way, and it had the features I was looking for: a whistle, a larger capacity, an easy-pour handle, and a stainless steel spout cover (the spout cover on my last kettle was plastic that melted and cracked, probably into the water that became tea).
I've had it for about month, and it works great, and looks beautiful with a simple and modern design. I'm very pleased with this kettle.
